Our Voice, Our World, Our Future (Premiere Screening)

September 19, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Climate film scaled

Join us for a free premiere screening of “Our Voice, Our World, Our Future” — a short 20-minute film that explores the effects of climate change on low income communities in Portland, Ore.

Often unrecognized as a serious social concern in our region, the film focuses on how climate change impacts the lives of Portland’s most impoverished and vulnerable people. Featuring two senior year projects, “Our Voice, Our World Our Future” gives voice to five senior high school students from Rosemary Anderson Alternative High School, as they interweave their own stories with observations from community members and commentary from local healthcare professionals and emergency services specialists. A Q & A session with filmmaker Jane Turville and the students will follow the screening.

This project is made as a partnership between Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon, Rosemary Anderson High School and Wagging Tale Productions, LLC. We genuinely thank the East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District for generously supporting this project through their grant program.

Limited seating. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; screening begins at 7 p.m.
