The Movement Isn’t Over

April 4, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

March and rally commemorating the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s assassination.
5 p.m. Gather at the Japanese-American Historical Plaza (west side water front at Davis St.).
5:30 p.m. March across the Steel Bridge to the MLK Statue at MLK Blvd. & NE Holladay St.
6:30 p.m. Rally at the MLK Statue at MLK Blvd. & NE Holladay St.

We’re calling on all people of faith in the common good to gather, march and re-dedicate themselves to the unfinished work of the original Civil Rights Movement and Poor People’s Campaign. Let us remember that the movement isn’t over, and there is still much to be done in order to make King’s dream of a true Beloved Community possible.

Sponsored by Albina Ministerial Alliance, The Beloved Community of Oregon, Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon, and The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
