Crisis, despair, emergency. These are the terms we try to avoid in daily life. Unfortunately, for many these terms are reality. For some Oregonians, the basic needs of food and shelter are not being met. Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon’s programs put our faith and values into action, to help meet basic human needs before the point of desperation.
Each of these programs welcomes your volunteer help.
As well as working one-to-one to help individuals and families in need, EMO engages in political advocacy around food stamps, health insurance, housing, livable wages and other issues that bring relief for those who need it most. Learn more about our Public Policy Advocacy.
