At this rally, we are crying out for common-sense gun safety measures to make our communities safer. Lift Every Voice Oregon calls on the Oregon State Legislature to pass legislation to ban the future sale of assault weapons and large-capacity gun magazines.
Students are back in class, but our work is just beginning. During this short week of Legislative Days, we call on our state leaders to help make Oregon a safer place to live, learn, grow, and graduate without fear.
The rally will include music and speakers on the steps of the Capitol Building. Talking points and training tips for legislative visits will be available at the rally and online. Schedule a visit with your legislator before or after the rally. If you can’t join in person, write a card or call your legislators, telling them you want Oregon to pass common-sense gun safety measures, banning the sale of assault weapons and large capacity magazines.
