Join us for a fun-filled evening celebrating Second Home! This event is family-friendly in every way and will include dinner, an ice cream truck, yard games and raffle for one week at Hunter’s Haven vacation home on the Sandy River in Rhododendron (learn more about raffle). We will also recognize our 2024 graduates and home providers.
Our guest speaker will be Ian Beaty, Ed.D. He serves as a commander in the Oregon National Guard, is married to Beaverton Mayor Lacey Beaty, and has two daughters. Dr. Beaty will share his personal story as a youth who experienced homelessness
ROOTED IN COMMUNITY
A program of Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon, Second Home connects volunteer host homes with unaccompanied high school students experiencing homelessness. At Second Home, it is our privilege to accompany students as they grow in the midst of community where they are needed, appreciated and given an opportunity to thrive. Rooted in community is realizing the connectedness we all need to thrive.
