Join people of faith and good will on the evening of May 17 as we gather in support of peace in Ukraine. We will hear the hopes and dreams of the Ukrainian community and church leaders, pray for them, and learn immediate ways of engagement, action, and support each of us can offer now.
Music will be provided live by Ukranian flutist Amelia Lukas, The Ot Azoy Orechestra, and folk singer Inna Kovtun (a well-known recording artist who just arrived in Portland a month ago from Ukraine). We will also hear recorded messages from U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden, Oregon Sen. Kayse Jama, and Archbishop Alexander Sample. View event program.
This will be a free event hosted in-person at Congregation Beth Israel (wearing a mask is strongly encouraged but not required) and livestreamed statewide. Only street parking will be available.
