CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events sponsored by Church World Service and organized by religious groups, businesses, schools and others to raise funds to end hunger in the U.S. and around the world. The Portland CROP Walk benefits EMO’s Northeast Emergency Food Program and Partners for a Hunger Free Oregon, with 25 percent of the proceeds shared by the two programs, and 75 percent of the proceeds are used by Church World Service to fight hunger across the United States.
The walk begins at First Christian Church, 1314 SW Park Ave. (between Jefferson and Columbia). Enter the church courtyard from Columbia or Broadway. There is a City Center parking lot under the church, which is accessed from Jefferson (between Broadway and Park Ave.).
